The size of the freezer is perfect for our half sides of beef and pig. The adjustable shelves and outside temperature and left red out are very convenient. This freezer replaced a 20 year old freezer that had no amenities. The only complaint is with the wire basket that came with it. It is intended to sit on the bottom shelf. But it is just a bit too wide so that the door will not automatically close. You have to push it closed. Doing so causes the wire basket to make indentations on the door itself. I called Home Depot about it as I thought I had the wrong basket. But the new one is identical. So I do not use the basket. I use plastic tubs instead.

I really like this freezer. However a problem for us is that there is no lock on the door. Very disappointed about that. It is the way we made sure that the door was closed. I wouldn™€™t have bought this unit had I known that. Never had a freezer that didn™€™t have one.

My last freezer was a GE model, also a garage ready upright... It lasted 1 year!!! I discovered it was malfunctioning and was about to lose approx $12-$1500 of food... I immediately started the search for a replacement, and after looking at numerous makes and models (None were GE's), settled on this Frigidaire... My decision was based on the very useful interior layout, the glass shelves, placement of the interior light, and overall apparent durability of a well built unit... After getting it home, and transferring all of the old freezer's contents, I was happy to see how quickly it achieved a recommended temperature, saving all of the food I had feared lost... The biggest lesson here for me, was the realization/remembrance that I had previously owned a Frigidaire freezer years ago that had served me very well, but had somehow "strayed" to other brands over the years to "save "purchase costs", but come to my senses and returned to a product of durability, reliability, and functionality! We are very happy with our decision to purchase a Frigidaire and look forward to many years of "dependable freezing"...

This upright freezer looks great, is quiet and maintains temperature well. I think it should have included an additional shelf. I ordered an extra shelf for $52 because there were enough shelf brackets for an additonal one and I wanted more shelves to minimize stacking of food items.

Really happy with freezer and the upgrades like having a handle, the self closing door, and door open alarm and great. I also like the convenience of the controls on the outside door which makes everything easy to monitor at a glance or adjust temp settings with out removing all your items to get to the control knob like others. The dark grey color looks sharp. Wheels are great to have and anti-tip feet can be adjusted down to keep freezer from moving when opening the door. I bought an extra shelf for $52 because it really needed more shelves so that I didn't have to stack the food so much. I wish enough shelves were included with this $950 +tax appliance.

Very nice freezer runs beautiful. I just wish the shelves were a lot more stronger. For the size of it you should be able to load it right up, but we noticed the shelves were bowing down. So just keep that in mind if you put a lot of beef or what not in your freezer you gotta really watch not to break it.
