Misleading

osmpony 3/29/2021

i purchased this to go with my q70t sound bar. the samsung web site states it is compatable. even has picture with model number in the ad page. the connector for the dongle does not fit. it is newer c type and the one in the sound bar is like an old cell phone charger. i contacted customer support. and was told i need to purchase an adaptor. im paying samsung almost 200 dollars for a product they say works with my soundbar and i have to buy something to make it work? i dont think so samsung. you are losing a customer. includding the sound bar im almst a thousand dollars into this. and i have to purchase something else.

Just try it first.. great sound for a great price

Stan 2/22/2021

i did hesitate to buy it initially.. but decided to give it a try, as it was very attractive in terms of price and it was worth it. i paired it with my hw-800t soundbar and it was seamless, followed the instructuon ans in few steps it was connected wirelessly (took 2 min iverall). connection is pretty stable with one remote from tv all switches on and off. no issues so far. its not too loud as people complaint, but it serves its purpose of rear surround effects. both soundbar, woofer and rear speakers work smooth.

Compatability

KingAirCaptain 1/19/2021

purchased the combination hw-q70t/za and the swa-9000s/za. they're supposed to work together. the 9000 comes with a wireless dongle that has a usb-c connector. there's no usb-c port on the q70t.

So far great for ambient sounds

goldemi 12/10/2020

these aren't primary speakers, they're rears, for ambient sounds and not always on (eg during regular dialogue). i set mine to 6 via my soundbar, and my wife freaked out when some gunshots rang out in a scene. they get plenty loud depending on the context. had to turn them down to 2 or 3. i also extended one of the speaker's wires by 20ft via 16 gauge wire, which turned out to be too thick, but seems to work well. a few things i would change/fix: - the keyhole for mounting to stands is smaller than standard speaker screws. research showed that you can use an m4 bolt or 8x32 screw. - longer speaker wire option (even aftermarket purchase) - a more standard connection of the wire to the speaker rather than the proprietary plug.

Garbage!

MHam 11/19/2020

the sound is nice... when they work. i made the mistake of getting the samsung hw-ms650, which has its own share of issues the i got these speakers... they connect... sometimes. they disconnect often. the are very difficult to get reconnected. and, they pick up random feedback that is very loud and obnoxious. i get tired of spending time being walked theough teoubleshooting to try to remedy them. i literally decided spending money on an all new bose system was worth it allievate the headache these are

Poor sound quality

Blue Turtle 10/24/2020

got brand new qled tv and the hw-q70t soundbar, which are great products. tried to increase the soundbar from 3.1 to 5.1 channels with these sepakers, but it was a huge disappointment. after couple of chat hours with tech support we weren't able to connect the speakers. later i managed to establish connection, but the sound quality was quite poor. tried all settings from the tv and soundbar with different sound sources including 5.1 ch. blue ray music and it never passed from a mild metallic sound from the surround speakers. returned them after realizing the soundbar actually works better without these speaker. please samsung release a truly compatible wireless surround speakers for the hw-q70t soundbars!

Great idea, missed the mark

Tomime 9/12/2020

it is a great idea to sell an expandable rear speaker kit, however these satellites 1) not true wireless, satellites must be wired to the wireless unit 2) does not have atmos up firing speakers (higher end soundbars with rear satellites do have up firing speakers) 3) sound by default is far too soft/low. we couldn't even tell it is paired sitting an arm length away. need to manually adjust the sound to be functional. 4) 179.99 is a high asking price for so many compromises listed above

Not a fan of Bluetooth

Hobby Bam 7/8/2020

i have had these rear speakers for a little over 2yrs. they are not loud but do enhance the surround sound. to be honest i am disappointed in this product because they continuously lose signal. i had to reposition the tower in multiple locations throughout my living room. to this day in a 15×20 room it still won't stay entirely connected during a movie.

Hit and miss

Jstn 4/28/2020

I have owned these speakers for a year now. When they are working as they're supposed to, they are great as far as the sound goes. They are hit and miss though. Some days, I can sit down and watch a whole movie and they work great. Other days I can turn on a movie and they loose complete sound every few minutes, for up to a minute at a time. I have reset them, checked the wire connections and nothing seems to work. The speakers just perform well when they won't to. Like I said, hit and miss. For $180 3 stars

Definitely *Loud Speakers* Like the Box Suggests

TokenBunny 5/10/2018

I'm using these speakers in a medium sized open space and these speakers were the perfect addition to get that physical surround needed for my gaming sessions and for an all out movie experience. The soundbar alone does an outstanding job of giving a wide sound and providing a near surround level of ambiance but I wasn't able to precisely detect when rear effects were occurring. The surround speakers completely solved this issue. Surprisingly they can get pretty loud, especially in surround mode. However, smart mode tends to balance out the speakers by giving more life to the soundbar OR choosing surround mode but lowering the back speaker levels just a bit, gives it a beautiful balance during game and move sessions. With music, I keep the level at 0 so it's truly a surround engulfing music experience! Although they are full range speakers, they do a great job matching the clarity of the soundbar, providing crisp and wide details in the audio sources. It would've been fantastic if the same deep bass distortion cancelling technology and wide tweeter dispersment was in the rear speakers but nonetheless, I'm still completely satisfied!

This product has poor sound quality

Dutch77 3/14/2018

This product when hooked up to a soundbar does not have enough features to control the volume. Bass doesn't have any you can only go up to a volume level of 6 which isn't high enough if you are not sitting directly next to them. If you could control the volume better they wouldn't be bad speakers. I have had some issues with them making popping noise and they were a little difficult to connect to the soundbar.
